Events In The Forest
All events will take place at Heaps Peak Arboretum, 29358 Rim of the World Highway 18
Saturday, May 30: Children’s Nature Craft. Drop in at the picnic tables between 10:00 am and noon; appropriate for children ages 4-10.
Saturday, June 6, 8:00 am: Join other birders on a walk through the Arboretum. On previous walks more than 20 species were sighted or heard. Even if you’re just starting as a birder this is a great morning.
Sunday, June 7 , 2 – 4 pm: Music in the Forest. Join Blue Jay Jazz Fest Future Generation Jazz Scholars Jaden Martinez and Brenden Watson for an afternoon concert. In the meadow.
Saturday, June 13, 9:00 am: Join a naturalist guided tour of the Arboretum to learn about the trees and plants of the Arboretum.
Saturday, June 20, 8:00 am: Bird Walk
Saturday, June 27, 10:00 am – noon: Children’s drop-in Nature Crafts, for children 4-10.
